With over 20 years’ experience in the fashion Industry, Eva combined her two favourite passions – fashion design and seasonal decorating – to create Aspen.
Eva started her fashion journey while still in high school, working part time for luxury department store Brown Thomas. Eva then went on with an ambitious move to Los Angeles to attend FIDM where she received her Associate Degree in Product Development. Following this Eva decided to further her education and moved to New York to attend LIM where she got her Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising. Eva then continued on to work in New York where she gained experience working with fashion stylists alongside a coveted internship at Juicy Couture.
After 6 years in the US, Eva decided to move home to Ireland to develop her own design concept and open her own boutique. Eva began to source worldwide for materials and fabrics to create a florist experience with a fashion twist. Combining her love of New York and pulling inspiration from US fashion… Madison was born. Eva offered clients a unique design service were she would create bespoke floral designs for weddings, event and businesses.
During this time Eva noticed there was a gap in the market for bespoke and handmade Christmas decorations and started to research trends in the US with hopes of bringing them to the Irish market. Eva went on to design her own Christmas collection which consisted of handmade wreaths, garlands, and fabric ribbon bows. With a change in design emphasis, Eva decided to rebrand to Aspen.
The design concept of Aspen has led to fantastic collaborations for Eva. Over the last 9 years under Aspen she has designed and created for Irelands largest department stores alongside bespoke handmade designs for many of Irelands popular hotels, pubs and restaurants.
